It’s always a treat to get to do something a little different for a senior session. In this case, it ended up being a lot different because we did the entire shoot at Kalleigh’s house – on the property around the house is probably a better way to describe it. I had never been there before, and it is kinda fun to be able to look at a location with fresh eyes.
We had so many neat spots to work with, including the pond! Her mom and dad really went the extra mile and hung two swings up for us to use. The last one (towards the bottom of the post) was only accessible by the boat. So we rode out there, Kalleigh hopped on, then her dad backed up with me in the boat so I could get the shots. Have to say that was a first for me – shooting from a boat – but I love doing things like that!
Her session is a great example of a couple things…. 1) how a few special, personal touches can really “make” the shoot extra special, and 2) that you can still get awesome results from a cloudy day! Certainly doesn’t hurt when you have a completely beautiful and photogenic subject like Kalleigh, either! I don’t think this Dallas Christian senior could look anything but adorable in any outfit, and her smile just lights up a room!
Thank you so much for the privilege of being a part of your senior year! 🙂
