Fall Family Fashion Part 2 ::: Spice of Life! – {rockwall photographer}

Well, today is part 2 of my little fashion series on what to wear for your family session this fall.  If you missed my first post, click HERE to visit day 1.  There will be a new post tomorrow and also one Friday.

Getting outfits together can be an overwhelming & expensive ordeal for many moms out there.  My hope is that these boards inspire you as you coordinate clothing for your crew.  I always say that if you plan ahead and start shopping early, you can often find these same looks without paying top dollar at the trend-setting stores.  Why?  Because eventually all of the big retailers COPY the smaller, designer-type stores.  So…. what you see in J. Crew, Anthropologie, Nordstroms, etc….. well, there will soon be less expensive, similar versions in stores like Target, Old Navy, Gap, etc.  It may take a little while, but it just about always happens!

Sooooo….. without further delay….. here is Day 2, aptly titled Spice of Life! because it dials things up a notch from yesterdays “neutrals” board.

Warm tones with an added richness, ruffles, faux fur, and sweater knit…. this look is casual but has a bit of pop in the children’s clothing.  When putting together outfits, it’s a good idea to let the kids carry most of the pattern, while mom and dad stay in more solid pieces.

One other BIG consideration when looking at clothing is COLOR.  What colors work well with your skin tone and that of your family?  Typically not everyone in a family has the same tones.  Moms….. ask your good girlfriends which colors they think look best on you.  There are some colors that tend to look great on almost everyone, and a few colors that really don’t do anyone any favors!

In their Welcome Packets, my clients always get more details regarding these things.  It is my goal that all of my clients feel confident & comfy in whatever they choose to wear!

Please check back tomorrow, as I’ll be posting yet another completely new clothing board!  Hope you have enjoyed these so far & hope they’ve been helpful!

Photographers…. you are welcome to link to my site if you feel that your clients would benefit from my fashion posts this week. Please do not crop out my logo on the board. Please do not steal any text or images from this post or this site. Stealing is not cool. And it’s illegal.
